Associate, People Experience, Colleague Communications & Engagement, Business Innovation & WRDM

Role Summary
The Associate, PX, Colleague Communications & Engagement is responsible for supporting the Business Innovation and WRDM Colleague Communications & Engagement teams in executing internal communication plans to support our purpose. The Associate will report to the Director of Colleague Communications & Engagement and primarily provide support to two divisions: Business Innovation (BI) and Worldwide Research, Development and Medical (WRDM).

The team is looking for a proactive, energetic candidate who is eager to support the development and implementation of various internal initiatives and engagement activities for colleagues across BI and WRDM.

The Associate’s primary goal is to support the BI and WRDM Communications & Engagement teams in delivering simple, effective communications and engagement that is aligned with business priorities, key strategies and initiatives across the two divisions.

Efforts include supporting cultural, recognition and branding initiatives; annual awards programs; event management; and content development for event invitations and intranet sites. Administrative tasks for the Global Sciences, including BI, WRDM and Global Product Development (GPD) will also be required, such as technical ownership of communication tools such as Auto Mailer (email distribution software).

Role Responsibilities
Work closely with the Director of BI Colleague Communications & Engagement and the Director of WRDM Colleague Communications & Engagement to support engagement and communications that advance business priorities including:

  • Provides support for the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns and initiatives
  • Contributes to the planning of events to drive culture and promote sharing of organization-wide initiatives with colleagues (town halls, leader forums, learning sessions, etc.)
  • Management and content development for internal engagement platforms, including the intranet sites, Yammer, Teams or similar.
  • Support in the measurement of activities and their engagement effectiveness.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field preferred
  • Health communications preferred; prefer pharmaceutical or other corporate and public affairs experience
Preferred Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of internal or external experience in a corporate environment or highly regulated industry
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once; work both collaboratively and effectively in a team-based environment
  • Strong, versatile writer and editor
  • Ability to think creatively and present ideas that will engage and motivate colleagues
  • Experience managing internal engagement platforms (intranet and Yammer, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently; effective problem solver
  • Highly organized and dedicated to excellence
  • Energetic self-starter; self-directed, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Quick thinker and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and SharePoint
