The Main Responsibilities
- The Responsibilities:
- Identify, coordinate, and implement process improvements
- Work in a DevOps team environment
- Write python3 scripts to interact with AWS
- Document a variety of system processes and procedures
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide feedback to developers
- Intern Outcome:
- Write a report about what was learned during the DevOps experience
- Learn what is required from today's software engineers
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Education Requirements
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2023 – May 2024.
- Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical degree field.
- Proficiency and understanding of;
- Able to ask questions when answers are needed
- Show some passion and curiosity for engineering problems and technology
- Preferred skills: AWS, Git, GitLab, Python3, Bash, technical background
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with business partners and drive the conversation.
- Flexible and adapts well to change
- Work Setting
- This position will be located in Ashburn, VA
- Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June – August)
- Intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations)
- US work authorization
