THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Auditor 2 conducts routine and complex audits/financial reviews into allegations of violations of the standards of conduct, laws, rules, and regulations under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
The position is part of the Charities Investigation Unit, Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation with primary focus on investigations of violations of the Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act. You will conduct investigative support activities to support the Bureau mission, conduct research utilizing public and private sources and databases, and
type reports completely and accurately relating findings of any given investigation or activity.
Job duties are performed with minimal supervision. The employee gathers facts, reviews and evaluates information received and initiates appropriate action relative to all assignments, issues, problems and concerns within their responsibility and authority. Primary decision making would be the appropriate courses of action to successfully complete investigative assignments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may be eligible for telework part-time following an in-person comprehensive training. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Auditor 1; or
One year of auditing experience and four years of accounting and/or additional auditing work; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and one year of auditing experience.
