JOB OBJECTIVE:  To assist in photography for promotional and website materials for all assigned projects for Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) and related outside agencies. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Collaborate with the Operations Department to organize and execute photoshoots of all facilities managed by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB). Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, capturing high-quality images that showcase the unique features of each venue, editing images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, and organizing a digital library within LRCVB’s visual content management software Crowdriff.
  2. Assist with photography needs for various events within the city of Little Rock for promotional materials and website needs.
  3. Set up equipment, props, and lighting before photoshoots. Ensure all necessary materials are organized and ready for use.
  4. Edit, retouch, and enhance photographs using software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom. Ensure images meet quality standards and specifications.
  5. Maintain an organized digital library of photographs by categorizing, tagging, and archiving files. Ensure proper naming conventions and metadata are applied for easy retrieval.
  6. Schedule appointments, respond to emails, and coordinate logistics for photoshoots. Organize and maintain release forms as needed.
  7. Research industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies in photography. Gather inspiration from other photographers, artists, and relevant sources to fuel creativity.
  8. Assist in creating content for social media platforms and marketing materials. Help generate engaging visual content to promote our brand and services.
  9. Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop concepts for photoshoots. Contribute ideas for themes, styles, and visual narratives.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a photography, visual arts, or related program.

Strong passion for photography with a keen eye for composition, lighting, and detail.

Proficiency in photography techniques and equipment, including DSLR cameras, lighting setups, and accessories.

Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools, specifically image editing software such as Photoshop or Lightroom.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Creative mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Ability to catalog and maintain photographs and video libraries stored on various digital platforms.

Ability to conduct research and analyze and interpret research findings.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the active pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Graphic Design, Web Page and Digital Design or related area; one (1) year of graphic production, art design experience and web design experience, or related areas.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
