Machine Operator

UDI, a leading architectural millwork company specializing in custom wood and metal work, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a key player in our production process, you’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment to create high-quality components for stairs, commercial jobs, windows, doors, and more. This role offers opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate advanced machinery including:
    • Sprint Power Edge Bander
    • Three CNC 4-axis routers with a horizontal moulder head and a 6'x12' table
    • Three moulders, including the largest in the area with a 14" head
    • Additional new equipment in our cutting-edge facility
  • Follow detailed work instructions and blueprints to produce precise, high-quality components.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain project timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery, CNC routers, or moulders is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  • A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
